Privacy

A short, practical privacy notice.

Medicite keeps personal data to a minimum and does not sell it.

Last updated 4 August 2026. Medicite is operated by Liam Harte. For any privacy question or request, email liam@medicite.co.uk.

When you contact me

The contact form collects your name, pharmacy, email address, optional phone number and anything you choose to write. I use it to reply to your enquiry, prepare a requested preview and keep a record of our conversation. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and, where appropriate, my legitimate interest in running and protecting the service.

If you open a private preview from a pharmacy letter, I may ask for your name and one contact route - phone or email - so I can follow up personally about that specific website. Some preview recipients can continue without providing those details. The form states when details are required before access. I record whether the form was shown, submitted, skipped or abandoned so I can compare the two journeys, but I do not save anything partially typed into an unsubmitted form. These details are used for this preview conversation only, not added to a mailing list.

When I research a pharmacy

I use limited business information from public sources, principally the PSNI or GPhC register and information the pharmacy publishes itself. My lawful basis is legitimate interests: offering a relevant business service through a limited, channel-appropriate approach. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Tell me once and I will stop and add the minimum suppression record needed to make that choice stick.

Where it is kept

Website and enquiry data are kept on UK-hosted systems and with the service providers needed to deliver email, payments and hosting. Those providers receive only what they need to perform that service. I do not sell your data or use a contact-form enquiry to add you to an unrelated mailing list.

How long it is kept

Unconverted enquiries are normally kept for up to 12 months, and basic security or visit logs for up to 90 days. Customer records are kept while the service is active and for any further period required for legal, tax or dispute purposes. Prospect data that is no longer needed after a campaign is deleted, apart from a minimal suppression record where someone has opted out.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to certain uses, or ask me to restrict them. Email liam@medicite.co.uk. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Outreach and removal

If you received a letter or email from Medicite, the for pharmacists page explains the public sources used and how to ask for immediate removal.
